CAD Technician
Qualifications
- Proficiency in PTC Creo or similar 3D CAD system such as SolidWorks.
- Proficiency in DraftSight or AutoCAD
- Strong attention to detail and presentation
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with a “team player” approach to design and problem solving
- Ability to work within a team, sharing workloads to meet deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English)
- Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office products
- 3 years of CAD experience
- Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time
- Basic lab skills
- Mechanical aptitude
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings
- Strong organizational skills
- Local candidates only-role onsite in Tempe, Arizona
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency with 3D printing
- 2D milling experience on LPKF, MITS or other small mills
- Prototyping experience
- Soldering experience on small components (SMT 0201, etc.)
- Use of hand tools (grinders, band saws, drill press, lathe, heat gun, etc.)
- Familiar with tolerance stackups and the use of GD&T ASME Y14.5
- Associate or Technical Degree
Responsibilities
- Manipulation of 3D and 2D CAD data
- DXF file generation for sending data to milling
- Drawings of antennas and antenna systems and assemblies.
- 3D wiring for cable routing
- Preparing models for submission to 3D printing
- Slicing models for 3D printing.
- 3D printing plastic parts
- 2D milling small circuit boards on LPKF / MITS
- 2D milling small sheet metal parts on LPKF / MITS
- Soldering small parts to PCB’s
- Models / mockups of electronic devices for RF testing

Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 8 hours day
